Least Likely Candidate

Synopsis:   An Eros about a man named Sean McGregor.  McGregor is rather dashing, smart and genteel, just no luck with the ladies until Don Martin shakes up his life.

Chapter 1—Running for Mayor
Sean McGregor wasn’t exactly the type of man who didn’t know anything about politics but wished he could do more for his community.   There was only one other candidate who had run unopposed for years.  His name was Quincy Kennan.  Sean felt it was a prime time for a change in his small town.  Apparently the people thought the same thing since they rallied behind him.  It was rather easy to, seeing Sean had a rather gregarious, voluble, magnanimous personality.   He was exceedingly jaunty, keen, refined and enjoyable to be around.   His smile could brighten a room and his words were poetry whenever he spoke them.
It wasn’t difficult to begin a campaign, but McGregor had no manager.  He searched classified ads and even Craigslist for help until he came upon a sharp-dressed fellow at a dry-cleaners, picking up a freshly cleaned tuxedo.   He wondered if this Latin gentleman wore fancy suits like this often because of the manner in which he was dressed as well as his sophisticated speech and elegant stride.
‘Don Martin.  I can fix your image.  Not that it needs that much tidying, but there are some tweaks I can do here and there.’, Don said, inserting his card rather meticulously into Sean’s lapel, discreetly, like a ninja.  Sean knew, although this man was mysterious that he could be trusted and instead of calling Don on the phone followed him to his establishment.   From there on out, Sean’s world was turned upside down but for, ultimately, the better.

Chapter 2—Calling Love to You
Don had expected Sean’s arrival and had set out tea and raspberry Jammy Dodgers to prepare.
‘I see you didn’t waste a moment of time.  That’s what I like to see, a man with initiative and integrity.  You are a real go-getter, Sir.’, Don stated, shaking Sean’s hand expectantly.   Don avidly discussed how brutal politics could get, even in Podunk towns where Sean had been raised.   They still had a ‘good ol’ boy mentality’ and Sean wanted to shake that backwoods thinking up slightly.  After all, it was the 21st century and he wanted his town to continue moving forward rather than backward.   Quincy had done nothing to shift the ‘white bread’ image of the town but Sean would do that, inviting more jobs, workshops, and even forums to ameliorate the indigent issue that the town had been facing since the latest Great Depression.
‘You have everything going for you except a dynamic woman by your side.   People want a family oriented man to make decisions for them.’, Don said.    Sean knew that Don knew what women liked and he was never without a gorgeous woman on his arm, or two or three.   None of them seemed jealous but they were all tremendously fulfilled simply to be in the room with him.    Don gave him a crash course in wooing and wowing women.
‘Now, you must tell me, was there a lady in your past you wanted but shirked due to the love of your job ?   She always advanced toward you, but you pushed her away, afraid she’d muddle your thinking or come between you and your work.’, Don said as if he was seeing straight through to Sean’s soul.   Sean shuddered.   There had been one such woman, and her name was Mimi.
‘I put aside the petty notion of romance because work was my God, but I always knew she had a fancy for me.’, Sean confessed, regretfully.
‘Doubtless she never forgot about you.   A man of your stature and caliber is difficult to come by.’, Don complimented.   Sean wasn’t the type to flush at compliments, but this one left him dumb momentarily.   After having learned everything he could from Don, he knew what had to be done next.  He had to call Mimi and see if her flame for him still burned so brightly as his for her.

Chapter 3—Before the Campaign
As fortune would have it, Sean had been able to contact Mimi Glass and discovered by sheer providence, she was still single.  She was highly successful and owned her own business.   Quite the entrepreneur, she was a fair and likeable employer and treated everyone with equity.   She happened to own a big share in the Fortune 500 and had been mentioned once in Time magazine.   It didn’t surprise Sean that Mimi had come this far.  After all, she had been a straight-A student back in school and let nothing come between good grades and excellent schooling.
Sean had been able to meet Mimi at one of his favorite fine dining establishments where they were able to reconnect.   She was struck by his intense yet cultivated nature in how he wanted to transform the little town of Crawfordsville.
‘I never stopped for one moment to think of you.’, Mimi said, shyly as she nibbled at her strawberry chicken salad.   Sean couldn’t take his eyes off her.  She looked like a saffron goddess in her chiffon dress and picturesque hat.   She was very reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, only more gorgeous.  Those pouty lips of hers seemed to beckon him, ‘kiss me’, but he felt it too soon to even do so.  He blushed darkly and cleared his throat.
‘I too wondered how you were doing.’, Sean said, unable to break his gaze from her’s.   Suddenly, he found himself holding her hands tenderly and stroking them unbeknownst to them both.    ‘I’ve been looking for a first lady.  You were my first thought.’, he admitted.
‘I would be honored.’, Mimi said, squeezing Sean’s hands tenderly.   Both of them felt compelled to embrace, in spite of the fact that they hadn’t seen each other for years.   Fire roiled between them and they started petting each other in the restaurant.
‘We should probably go somewhere more private.’, Mimi said, laughing a bit awkwardly.   Sean put his hand behind his head, but it was obvious that the embrace had warmed his nether regions considerably.    Mimi couldn’t help but allow her eyes to wander to the protruding bulge in Sean’s trousers but kept her thoughts on the present moment.
Mimi drove Sean back to her place where she smoothly turned on a CD player and led Sean to her rather comfortable queen sized bed.   She pinned him down and began unbuttoning his shirt, kissing his collarbone softly.   Sean’s hands seem to have minds of their own, but he was ever the gentleman in undressing his lovely Mimi.   After all he had dreamt of unraveling her just like a Ferrero Rocher truffle.
Mimi skillfully whipped off Sean’s belt and tossed it aside and continued to undress him, kissing him sensually as she did.  Sean felt a gasp escape him and flipped her onto her back, catching her off guard.
‘I’ve trapped you.’, he said, playfully as their mouths and tongues wrestled each other.   He found his fingers exploring her curvy frame, cupping her breasts and guiding them into his mouth.   Softly, his tongue curved around her areolas and he sucked them tenderly, hearing her sigh and croon.
‘Do you know how long I have been longing to do this ?’, he said.  Mimi could only moan in pleasure, grasping his penis through his underwear in her hands, a bit eagerly, but the touch was one he had desired and his whole body shuddered.   She stroked him, slowly at first and the waves of pleasure he felt made him want to enter her badly.
‘Are you teasing me ?’, he asked, wondering what she had in mind by nearly driving him to madness giving him such an exceptional hand job.   She locked lips with him and pinned him to the bed again, slipping off her panties and slipping down upon his fully erect phallus.    Sean thought he had entered nirvana by the first thrust of her hips.   Apparently she had read up on bedroom technique since Sean himself was still inexperienced and a virgin.  However, everything that Don had taught him was coming into full view and that night, Mimi made an honest man out of him.

Chapter 4—Sweet Surprise
When Sean awoke, he found his face firmly placed between Mimi’s buxom bosoms.   She laughed.
‘You really know how to please a woman.  Just think if we’re together, we can think of how and when to get our jollies.’, Mimi said.   Sean couldn’t help but tend to her needs then and there.   She was still gorgeously naked and he kissed her from stem to stern, paying attention to all her erogenous zones.   He lingered a bit at her mons and nibbled playfully at her clit.
‘Nectar.’, Sean said, sweetly, darting his tongue in and out of her entry and circling his tongue slowly around her clitoris.   She clenched the linen sheets beneath her and arched her head backward as she experienced orgasm after orgasm.
‘Two can play at that game.’, Mimi said, teasing him.  She positioned herself atop him and began kissing and nibbling at his shaft, licking it meticulously.   Sean thought he was either going to see double the rest of his life or continue experience stars in his eyes.   They 69ed until the sun came up.  She looked at her watch and kissed him, the taste of his semen even strangely sweet upon her lips.
‘More to come later.  Heh, I made a pun.’, Mimi jested.   He loved her quick and agile mind, and not only that, she had proven to be quite flexible.   This was the beginning of a very spicy and meaningful relationship, he mused.

Chapter 5—By His Side
In the days that followed, Mimi and Sean became ever closer and their love live hotter than ever before.   In order to keep the flames stoked, Sean didn’t dally and asked Mimi to marry him.   She didn’t seem to mind and Don supported them the whole way.   It made him more popular and his confidence continued to grow.
The adage ‘behind every good man is a strong woman’ was definitely true especially now that he was stepping forward for his first debate.   He had never met the other candidate, but he knew enough about him to know that he had his work cut out for him.    Sean wasn’t disheartened or discouraged.  In fact, it fortified him to be truthful.   In this day and age, people actually wanted someone who wasn’t afraid to be honest.   No matter what he did, Mimi was tried and true and stood by Sean, giving him advice.   She happened to know the realm of legalism well, being a prosecutor.  Like Sean, she wanted to make the world a better place, and she knew that together, they would do so, one statute at a time.

Chapter 6—Quickie Before the Speech
Sean was feeling apprehensive before he took the podium to answer questions.  It was November and the rabble had become restless.   They wanted answers, but they needed someone who was candid.   Sean was just that type of man, and he knew that somehow, the nomination would be in the bag for him this year.  He might not remain mayor forever, but at least he would transform his hometown for the time he was in office.
Mimi had been waiting off stage to bolster Sean before he orated before a packed auditorium of people.   ‘You’re trembling.  You know you have nothing to fret over.  Come here, handsome.’, she said, beckoning him into her arms.  They found a secluded dressing room where they could be alone.
‘I feel bolder with you.’, Sean said, pressing Mimi against a wall as he kissed the nape of her neck and heard her gasp.
‘Oh, I can feel that boldness, too, love.’, Mimi said, unzipping his pants and letting his erect penis have some air.   It was already pulsating, waiting to penetrate her, slowly and gently.   She had lowered her panties and mounted him right then and there, standing up.   They kept their lovemaking as quiet as they could but they both shouted before the crowd got riled up.
‘Good timing that little shriek !’, Mimi laughed.   ‘Better get buttoned up before you go out there.  Wouldn’t want to leave your barn door open.’, she added with a deep French kiss, making Sean long for more later.    He helped her put back on her panties before giving her a light pat on her shapely bum.
The fear that Sean had once been tying him in knots had dissipated.   Sean gave the best speech of his life and as according to his prediction, he clenched the nomination.   Until the next elections he would be making changes, and doing what he had set out to do since his conception; make the world a better place, starting with his hometown.

Epilogue
During his tenure in office, Sean did indeed transform the areas of the town that needed the most help.  He gave people jobs that had none and improved the overall economy vastly.   The original mayor had made promises but had never delivered.   He didn’t have the knowhow or a councilor guiding him to making the right steps and being connected to a wise circle of people who knew how to get things done.
At the end of the day after work was over and done, Sean could literally let his hair down and enjoy a tumble with his lady.   Though she was pregnant, their romance was still like lava running through their veins.   Having a child made their life even richer, even though they hadn’t planned on it.   They were enveloped in the present and lived it to the hilt.   Whatever the future could toss at them, it didn’t matter, because it all came down to the never-ending infinity that defined them.  Unlike some, they had known this secret when they reunited.  Don had been the catalyst that was responsible for them getting back together.    Having a feeling that the baby would be male, the child would ultimately be named after him as well as Sean’s papa, Liam.   He would come to know Don as his godfather someday.  For the moment, he’d be basked in love, light, laughter and music as well as all the exceptional personality traits his parents bore.   Indeed, it would be a bright tomorrow when Don Liam arrived, but even before he did, he was loved endlessly and immensely.
