Winter Delight

Geminid meteors fly 

Streaking vertically in the sky 

The bright light delights 

A spectacle any night 

No other light save a few afar 

Plus the occasional passing car 

Blind to the dance of our planet 

Our transit, our orbit 

One last wee hour show 

The Ursids just begin to show 

To culminate the 21st 

The Solstise and Rebirth

Time to wish prosperity anew 

Time to shout a hearty ‘Salud !’ 

I’m blessed to share these winter lights

Just one of many December delights.
