More Webcasts in the Can
There's a saying within the movie industry. 'In the can'. It meant that filming was at long last, finished and the reel could be placed 'in the can' and shipped to cinemas everywhere. It's still used today although film has developed. In the future, I wonder what expression they will use to denote this ?
Since 2008 I have been making YouTube videos. I challenged myself to enter into it knowing this is what I wanted to do. I had been exhorted and encouraged to do this, especially after I witnessed so many people I admired doing the same thing. Then I became a fan of Adam the Woo, Tampa Jay, Carpetbagger, Justin Scarred, PewdiePie, the Game Grumps...The list goes on and on.
I nearly became monetized. I was so close to making an impact with my channel but I read a book about how the algorithm works. Content is king and you have to 'stand out among the crowd' as A Goofy Movie once stated so sagely. Sort of hard to do that in a sea where the crowd seems fairly homogenous. It is fairly daunting, I will give you that, but I haven't allowed that to curb my enthusiasm.
Today's order of business will be getting a few more webcasts recorded. I do the best I can to release webcasts on Wednesdays and Fridays. There are times I have to return to my 'Drafts', which actually come from a few years ago when I was living an apartment life. I am renting with a friend now. I enjoy living in an actual house, but honestly, it isn't what I truly envision for myself. Someday I pray I can live in a house with my red thread, whomever and wherever he might be (hopefully he's reading my blog).
That being said I called my travel agent again and asked her two questions. One was about my trip in April and side excursions the package offers (I still have time to add them on). The second was about my interest to become a travel agent. I want a career and not a job. I do NOT wish to sit on my laurels and watch the world go by any longer. I may be older, but I am still mobile. So long as I am able, I want to see what I can, where I can. Making this a reality, though, that may be a little challenging, but me being the sort of lady I am, I welcome challenges.
Also, I'm in the process of learning what languages I can. Currently, I'm jockeying between Greek, brushing up on my Spanish, easily falling into German and opening new doors with Japanese and Polish. I may try Hebrew again, since I am learning the alphabet in Yiddish and the two aren't that dissimilar.
