Heron

Nearly camouflaged you loom
Almost ghostlike in the fountain pool
Your gaze meets mine, unmistakable
Solitary heron, I find you relatable
Bluer than the sky
I greet and smile as I pass you by
Stately bird and elegant
A more gracious creature I've never met.
