Everything's Super 2

Synopsis: The sequel to Everything's Super. The Justice Rangers (the JLA and some of the newly-redeemed villains empowered with the all-powerful energy of the Zeo Crystal) return and are reunited to the Power Rangers Zeo when Alpha 5 is captured by Brainiac; for the purpose of using his schematics to create a new army of robot servants. It's up to the Power Rangers Zeo and the Justice Rangers to save him.
Alpha 5 also meets Supergirl, Superman's cousin from Krypton, and sees a kindred spirit in her.

Chapter 1--A Typical Day

Alpha awoke next to his darling Delta 5 ready for more monitoring at the console.   Zordon had been in a pensive mood as of late.    He had been recalling how at one point and time he and Rita fought over him before he had been cursed to his non-corporeal form.   He knew there had to be a way to revert to his original body but he could never find a method that stuck too long.  He would always transform into his cyndrillical appearance.   It was frustrating at times, but he accepted it, accounting for all the blessings he had amassed in his lengthy lifetime.

‘You were rather deep in thought, weren’t you Zordon ?’, Alpha question.   Zordon nodded.
‘I was just recalling the battle Rita and I had over you.   It took all I had to wrest you from her but I couldn’t be happier with the result.’, Zordon responded, a smile creasing his lips.    It had been the first time Zordon had grinned with such ease and he gave out the most fantastic belly laugh (having actually possessed a belly at one time) that tickled Alpha and Delta immensely.
‘I cannot imagine how this scenario would’ve gone had Alpha been hijacked by Rita !’, Delta chimed in, giving an audible shiver.   When it came right down to it, Rita was by very nature, the very definition of evil, Zedd even more so than she.    However, she did possess some redeeming qualities, though not many.

‘Do you remember how we fought against the Injustice League ?’, Delta began, animatedly.
‘I will never forget !   That was one for the ages.  Do you ever think we’ll be running into the Dino Charge or Time Force Rangers ?    Everything seemed so nicely tied up after our last encounter.’, Zordon mused aloud.
‘Well, if I know villains, they rarely leave any business unfinished.    Brainiac was mighty mad the last we saw him.   I doubt he’s anything to be concerned about.   Come on, Delta, let’s get breakfast ready.  We’ve got a big day ahead of us.’, Alpha said, gesturing her to follow him into the kitchen and make a massive smorgasbord for their robot family.

Chapter 2--Here We Go Again !

While Headquarters was going through it’s own typical order of the day, the Rangers went about their normal lives not worried about anything.   They were excited that the latest Blade Runner was coming out and they all wished to see it, having seen the original which had been made years ago.   It was a futuristic film far ahead of its time, rife with object lessons and a sensational storyline.    Zack couldn’t stop talking about it.    He was probably the biggest fan of the original film and was excited to see the sequel.
‘It’s taken them long enough to do this, but with today’s technology it’ll trump anything that was made back then !’, Zack exclaimed, geeking out.   Billy felt he had a kindred soul in the form of Zack, but they were all eager to see just what Blade Runner 2049 had in store for them.

'This movie is gonna be very prodigious !', Billy said, practically squeeing in excitement. He hadn't been this excited since the time that he and the others attending the Consumer Electronics Show.
After savoring a phenomenal show the Rangers talked non stop about how the movie had exceeded their expectations and that seeing Harrison Ford again in film had been an ultimate treat.   This role was much better suited than even Han Solo had been, they felt.
‘Has anyone seen Alpha ?’, Delta inquired.   Aisha, Kimberly, Tommy, Adam, Jason, Zack and Billy all searched but the little robot could be found nowhere.
‘He was here just a second ago, I swear.’, Kim said, feeling awkward that she had lost track of Alpha.  He was exactly like a child, though.  He had a tendency to get distracted by little things that interested him.

Outside the movie theatre Alpha stood like a mannequin under the brainwave pulse that Brainiac had been emitting.
‘That’s right, you’re going to belong to me !   I let you go once, but not this time !’, Brainiac cackled.   Before the Rangers could do anything, Brainiac disappeared.
‘Looks like we’d better ask for some assistance.   We won’t be able to do this alone.’, Jason said.    Billy’s already wide smile was so big his friends knew what was going through his brilliant mind.
‘Then what are we waiting for ?’, he said.   The friends rushed as quickly as they could but their old friends were already waiting.   It was as if they knew this would happen.   Matters were about to become very interesting, indeed.

Chapter 3--Calling in the Calvary

At the Hall of Justice in Metropolis, located in the DC Universe, the alarms went off.
'Guys, we're receiving a communique from the Power Rangers !', Harley stated.
'Put it on visual, Harley ! Hurry !', Wonder Woman stated.
The screen activated and the Rangers appeared. They looked very sad.
'What's going on, Rangers ? Where's Alpha 5 ?', Batman asked. Ivy, also now a new member of the JLA, was nearby and she was going to be upset by what she was about to hear.
‘He was taken by Braniac.  Who knows what maniacal scheme he has cooked up for our robotic friend.’, Zack said with some frustration.
‘During our latest battle with Lamiac, we were given power shards as well.  We’ll just implement them and zip-zap-zoom, right over to you.’, Flash stated with a wry, confident grin.
Superman had already discovered a method of connecting the power of the shards.  Without a hitch, he zapped them all into Angel Grove and followed breadcrumbs Brainiac had left behind without knowing it.

Chapter 4--Back At It Once More
‘‘You know my friends are going to save me, right ?  You’ll never accomplish your plan !”, Alpha 5 said defiantly.   In the clutches of Brainiac's suggestive brain waves, Alpha 5 was incapacitated.   He couldn’t seem to break the subversive frequency.
‘I wish you had come built with a mute button !’, Brainiac thought, wondering if kidnapping this robot had been the right plan all along.   With a few more tweaks to his programming and an assembly line built with his own power alone, Brainiac had begun building an armada of Alpha 5s.   Of course they weren’t quite bent to his will.
‘Just a bit more time.   One way or another, I’ll crack you yet.’, he mused
, cackling evilly but silently on the overlook ledge of his hideout.    Before he could break Alpha 5, his nemeses had appeared, right on schedule.
‘I should’ve known you’d come for your friend.’, he glowered.
‘Yes, and this time, we’re keeping him, if you don’t mind !’, Tommy retaliated.   Brainiac had no time to waste with these chumps.   With his newfound abilities they were going to be easy pickings in a fight, or so he perceived.

The Justice League weighed their options carefully while plotting out their plan of attack.  Zatana would distract Brainiac and retrieve Alpha 5.  Green Arrow, the Flash, Golden Dragon and  and Harley would all keep him busy.    A recently turned Poison Ivy would use her pheromones to continue the diversion.    While she did so, Black Beetle would hack the factory while all this was occurring.
Despite the fact that this strategy was well-laid out, Brainiac was one step ahead of them.  He had installed a ‘no-kill’ switch inside the armada of evil Alphas.
‘Ay, yi, yi, yi !’, exclaimed the huge armada as it steamrolled forward martially.   Even with the power of the Rangers and the League together, they were pretty tough and there were quite a few of them.
‘We may need reinforcements.’, Kenda said to Superman.   She used her telepathy to contact someone, anyone who could help.   'Please, someone, help us ! We're becoming outmatched !', Kenda pleaded. King Lexian, Alpha 5's father and the King of Edenoi, opened his eyes as if waking from a dream.
'My son has been taken captive !', he gasped.   He knew Kamen Rider would be perfect in a situation like this.
‘You must assist them...they’re gravely outmatched, even for them.’, Lexian replied, plaintively.    Kamen nodded and teleported to earth on his motorbike.
Landing on the pavement below, Kamen made an epic entrance and slid into defensive mode a la Kaneda in Akira.   It couldn’t have been done any more flawlessly.  There was no time to be dazzled while the chaos ensued around them, and Kamen got straight to work cutting the armada down to size to even the odds.

Chapter 5--Reproducing Robots !

Even though the evil Alphas were destroyed more came in their place.  Brainiac had thought of every last detail in this plot and there seemed to be no logical solution.
‘It’s like a virus.  We have to stop it at the source !’, Harley deduced.
‘Good goin’, Blondie !’, Ivy congratulated, patting her friend on the shoulder.   They found the teensy bug that had caused this whole fracas by the help of Cyborg.   The hulking bioroid spotted the mote from afar off and honed him in his laser focused sight.
‘You’ve caused about enough entropy for one day.’, he snarled, zapping the prime virus to cinders.  It gave out a pathetic scream as it died, leaving whatever clone Alphas were left to stop functioning as a whole.
‘No.  NO !   This cannot be...how could you have known ?’, Brainiac screamed as he did his best to retaliate using the multitude of his brain waves to subdue them.   It had little to no effect, seeing how he used so much of his ability on making the army to begin with.   He felt panicked but didn’t show it outwardly.   In a rash move, he taunted them and fled in a zap of a teleport, never saying a word.
‘I guess we were too much for him !’, Kamen said.  Alpha thanked him, feeling a bit emotional seeing his old friend from Edenoi.  It had been too long, he thought.   They would have plenty to chat over as they returned to Headquarters.

Chapter 6--Running into Greatness

On the way back to Headquarters, Bulk and Skull were returning from the store with groceries to make a homemade pizza.
‘Is that who I think it is ?’, Skull questioned, wondering if he was sane or daydreaming.
‘I know those insignia anywhere !  That’s Aquaman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Batman...Sweet merciful heroes, Skully !’, Bulk stated in a sense of awe and wonder.  He had always idolized such heroes and now he could meet them in person.
‘Oh man, you guys missed the most epic fight ever.’, Adam began.
‘Yeah, we’re always there after the action has passed.’, Skull said, pouting somewhat.
‘Hey, since you’re making pizza, do you suppose you have enough ingredients to feed us all ?  That last skirmish has us all feeling a bit peckish.’ Billy surmised.
‘Of course.  We have more than enough for everyone, we’re always prepared.   You may not know this but when I was but a lad, I was a boy scout.’, Bulk beamed.
‘We know, Bulk.  You’ve gone over your survivalist training at least 100 times !’, Zack retorted, playfully giving him a punch in the arm.   Bulk chortled as well as the lot of them followed Bulk and Skull to their place for a well-deserved meal and some rest.

Chapter 7--A Return Performance, Perchance ?
Bulkmeier had never created such a piece de resistance.  It was by far the best thing he had ever cooked in his oven.   Skull showed off his confectionary knowledge by making mint chocolate chip brownies to absolutely die over.
‘That was astronomical.’, Lantern complimented.   Skull nearly hyperventilated with getting praise from an actual Justice League hero.
‘I have plenty left over if you want to take some back home.’, Skull mentioned.
‘Ugh, no more...If any of us eat anything else, we’ll explode.’, Constantine said, patting his full stomach in glee.
‘Do you ever think you’ll grace us with a return performance ?’, Kim questioned.
‘Well, knowing Brainiac and how he’s a persistent little worm, more than likely.’, Superman said.    None of them knew when they’d ever cross paths again but it had been pleasant taking a bit of a respite and enjoying a massive meal.
'Keep your Zeonizers on hand, Justice Leaguers. We wanna see you morph.', Alpha 5 said.
'And your Zeo Power Weapons.', Bulk added.   Kamen Rider saluted as he rode his motorcycle through a time warp back to Edenoi, waving as he departed.
‘That is one cool dude.’, Jason stated in a state of wonder.    The Justice League used their Zeo Crystal shard power to return to their own universe, thanking their newfound friends Bulk and Skull for their hospitality.   Bulk and Skull said their own goodbyes to their buddies and wouldn’t stop babbling about their unbelievable time spent with honest to goodness, flesh and blood superheroes.

Epilogue
The bots and Rangers went their separate ways to the unique lives always training, always sparring whenever time allowed.   Certainly normal events in their existence always kept them busy but they maintained their martial arts skills even up into their young adulthood.   Alpha 5, however, knew he had to keep himself more on guard.
‘There was nothing you could’ve done to have deterred that breech, my darling.’, Delta said, matter-of-factly.
‘Even so, I want to become a Ranger someday.  Perhaps I’d be more useful to them.’, Alpha said, always wanting to improve himself.
‘But you have.  You were just as strong as any other warrior out there once reverted to your normal self.  I can see why Kenda and you had such an immediate rapport.’, Delta reassured him.    Someday, though, Alpha knew he’d achieve his dream even though it was pretty ambitious.    For now, he settled down in his recuperation chamber with Delta by his side, relaxing and dreaming of what awaited him around the pike.   Whatever came, he knew it was bound to be an adventure.
