Effigy

I keep asking what am I ?

I question, what will I be ?

I am, as it were, simply me

Don’t weep over my grave

That is simply my body

My earthly vessel gone to seed

My soul is spanning eternity

It is in the air you breathe

While I thrived on earth alive

I shared laughter, love and cried

Now I am eternity, swimming in peace

So please do not weep

Do not grieve

You shall see me again in Heaven

Where there is perfect unity

I am not here

Don’t search for me

Just know I am with you

In your heart and memories.
