Fresh Snowfall

A blanket of snow covers my blue car

Small flakes float freely

It hasn’t been like this since childhood

And I maintain my awe

The chill doesn’t irk me

I simply gaze at diamond fields

As multiple geese flock to lakes

And crows search for scraps

All among this beauty

Nothing is taken for granted

And I thank the One who made it

Since nature is my passion.
